Movie Roundup: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Movie Roundup: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World: The first sequel was about Hiccup and Toothless becoming best friends. The second one was about Hiccup finding his mom and then his dad dies. Now the third one will be interesting because Stock is coming back. I have a theory that maybe Stock is going to be a spirit.

Not sure but this movie will be very interesting! Can't wait I'm so excited! Been Wanting To See Soon But Who Knows Who Might Die Next...Who Knows What They Find...And Who Knows What Else Trouble They Gotten In...Can They Get Out? New Adventures and Paths To Discover! Very Interested in the movie and Yes the first was great but the second dude what happened?!? Well, it went from A Dragon Fight To A Kings Fight Over Dragons?!? What Else!!!

A worthy sequel to an already good film. I love how they aged the characters (yet they're still completely believable as older versions of their young selves). No relearning the same lessons as the first film, no rehashing of plot lines--the twist was great and the resolution for the separation is very touching. If I had one complaint it might be that Drogo is a bit of a generic villain? But that's not too important, he's a means to an end and everything else in this film is likable and fun to watch. It answers some of the main questions from the first film and how the whole dragon system works, and each character gets nice little moments to shine. A well-crafted film overall.

But as a nitpick for the trailers: good god Dreamworks, don't spoil such major things! I get that the mother-figure isn't a core plot point and a rather minor reveal all things considered, but still! It would have been nice to see that in the film rather than a trailer straight up telling me it! Please try to be less for the 3rd installment, eh?

When we see that time can make a difference when what we now coexist we see it's better than killing. When what we see what gets us around we travel finding new places to map. When we see with age comes new responsibilities to look forward too. When what we don't see in those we haven't seen for a long time, we don't see how we can be one thing when we don't know who we are. When what we see is this a big world that needs discovering. When what we see to protect we do it peacefully by surrendering when we wish those for a moment to see eye to eye with us. when what others don't see eye to eye they serve. When we see we have one another's backs to help one another. When we don't see what is headed for us when those who haven't seen us in a long time show up. When we see where we get our eye when those who see things differently chose the same path to not fight when we see there is plenty to see in those from within. When we see a place hidden from battling world's to know such peaceful places exists for those hunted.

When what others see where those are hidden they fight. When what we see as important in our lives to take as our responsibility we see we are needed elsewhere. When such places we see remind us of our freedom like those we see ourselves in. When what others see they know they are on the wrong side when there is another side to them. When what we don't see is what lies beneath in what we see when what gives those peaceful balance also there are those that give them fighting balance inside of them. When what others can't control we see that they don't see their own actions when they follow their other side. When what others see to protect as their duty they save us. When we hope to see that we don't let this down in the new roles we fulfill when we see we have to let go of those who raised us to what we see we are.

When we see that we are not like others but will try when what is important is seeing that we protect our own. When we see our connection with others is beyond seeing when it's deeper bond that breaks any control. When what others protect in there own, we don't see what secrets they have deep within. When we see those connections are stronger that helps win fights to see they seize control as alpha to see we have each other's backs. When we see we have new allies & family that help us oversee our responsibility.

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" soars! It's been four years since we have been on an adventure with Hiccup and Toothless. Now, they're back and better than ever. How To Train Your Dragon 2 is a more mature and more emotionally satisfying sequel that builds off of the first film's triumph.

2010's How to Train Your Dragon proved one thing ... that Dreamworks Animation finally had the emotional level and dramatic depth we've been waiting for in them. Now, four years later Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) and Toothless return in rather a spectacular form. There is a sense of awe with this series and I am already excited for the third one to come out. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is more thrilling and more emotionally powerful than its predecessor. It also boasts off its beautiful animation that will draw you deeper into the film.

Our adventure begins five years later after the events of the first film, which gives us both a grown-up Hiccup and Toothless. Hiccup and his village now live in peace with the dragons, led by his Viking dad, Stoick (voiced by Gerard Butler). Flying for a day of fun and adventure Hiccup and his faithful companion Toothless discover that Eret (voiced by Kit Harington, Game of Thrones Jon Snow) is helping build a dragon army for the evil Drago (voiced by Djimon Hounsou). Hiccup realizes that the dragons are in danger from Drago. Now, it's up to him to show Drago that there is true friendship between humans and dragons.

While on his journey Hiccup meets Valka (voiced by Cate Blanchett), keeper of the dragon sanctuary. Her ice castle is a visual gem that shows the true beauty of this animation. Blanchett's performance is stunning for animated films. Her voice gives the film a deeper sense of human emotion. From there the film leads into a race for time to save the dragons. How to Train Your Dragon 2 has action, adventure, and drama, all in one film. It's more than your average children's outing, but that is what makes this film so brilliant. Director Dean DeBlois (How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch) takes animation to a whole new level. His skill as a director has vastly improved over the years and he will have a good chance at ranking with the greats.

Other noble performances are by a witty Baruchel, a stern Butler, a funny Kristen Wig, an ego-happy Jonah Hill, a charming Christopher Mintz-Plasse and a fearsome Harington. Overall, How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a more sophisticated film than its predecessor. This series ranks up with the greats of animated series, like the Toy Story trilogy. How to Train Your Dragon 2 breathes fire for future animated films to follow and already has my pick for Best Animated Film at The Oscars next year. It will leave you eager for more sequels to follow in the years to come.

With some of DreamWorks' most breathtaking animation yet as well as a solid mix of exciting action sequences, mood-lightening humor and sad moments, How to Train Your Dragon 2 is on par, if not superior to, its predecessor. As well as one of the best films of 2014 and the best-animated film of the aforementioned year alongside The Lego Movie. And one of DreamWorks' best as well. I really enjoyed this movie, shut up. For a sequel that everyone loved which was a box office success, this movie seems to have been forgotten quickly. No matter, the third movie is still coming soon. I don't really have much to say about this sequel. Just that it was a really amazing movie, that's all. Shame I can't be bothered to watch the Cartoon Network and later Netflix series since about 90% of the Netflix/DreamWorks shows look like cash grabs and I stopped watching Nickelodeon 2 years ago. Ah well, at least I've learned to be patient. When the third movie arrives, it'll have arrived. Interesting plot, characters, and story make this movie good. Could I be more blatant about how spectacular this movie was? Let's hope the third movie remains as great as the first two.

I really wanted to like this movie, but it was such a boring mess of a sequel! With a bullshit plot, some characters from the 1st movie reduced to just unfunny excuses for "comic reliefs", Hiccups mum whom literally has NO personality whatsoever, it just comes off as a nonsensical waste of time that would make a better lullaby rather than a boring and poorly-written sequel to a good movie. And no, I'm NOT watching the 3rd movie! Because the only saving grace is the beautiful CG, and its so bad that Kung Fu Panda 3 got this crap right almost 2 years later! This is just as good as the first one, the humor, the heart, a great story. Hiccup and Toothless are in full sync and this movie has a few surprises in store also. A menacing threat also helps create a great sequel and H2TYD has that for sure, not to mention the new additions in the voice cast who are all great. The third and final film in this trilogy will surely have big shoes to fill in order to achieve an epic conclusion. Final note: The animation of this movie is top notch!
