Review of Fan 2016 Full Movie

Review of Fan 2016 Full Movie: Maybe more like a 3.75/5. The movie wasn't as creepy as it could have been, but the ending was right for it. I also liked that we got to see a kind of paternal side to Shah Rukh Khan's acting that we never get to see in how Aryan handled Gaurav and tried to guide him. I hope that this marks a shift in the kinds of parts that SRK decides to take. It'd be nice to see him evolve now that it's becoming more and more awkward seeing him paired with actresses my age or younger.

While this wasn't the pinnacle of cinema, I did enjoy it and I liked that it was different than the standard SRK movie. Brilliant idea but wasted opportunity to divulge the effect of ego due to fame and assumption of being more than human. This movie had potential written all over it but numerous missed opportunities and inconsistencies ruined the movie. I felt the director got lazy to really tell a story for the sake of fantasy. All in all, it is still an enjoyable watch.

Damn this movie is awesome! we see the best of srk after a long time, srk always acts his best it is always the script of direction which ruins the movie, but this is not the case here, I wanted this movie to be somewhat of 5 hours... it is that good, SRK is amazing as both the star and the fan, he is so good I even lose control of my emotions at the end of the movie, he acts so well, no other actor in my perspective can match the way he acts, amazing performance here as well... there is no song in the movie or even a main actress, which surprises me but it made itself apart from other Bollywood movies and doing this was a risk.... it is SRK and only him and he does it right!

my favorite actor is SRK he is a pure genius, I respect him... I am a fan because of which I was easily able to relate to the characters and understand their emotions, I cried at the end (it feels embarrassing but it is the truth) only a few numbers of movies have made me jerk a tear, most of them are srk's movies, ok enough about SRK, let's talk about the screenplay and writing stuff... the story could have been a lot more, but it does well with what it has got.. there are not enough twists and turns but it is sensible, they have not made people masterminds and stuff, it is natural...

The director Maneesh Sharma has done a great job here, sad to say I didn't expect much from him, but he makes the title really well, yrf does it again.. Yash Chopra would have loved it. the vfx are really great, they have done the impossible, I had a fear that the vfx on Gaurav would look bad, but they were really great, it even fooled me, lot of hard work put there, there was no scene where I thought the VFX could be better maybe I was really immersed in the experience.

It has its flaws, some bloopers, some weak characters but in the end, it is an amazing watch which I want to see again. I would rate this flick 4 stars and I recommend you guys to check it out. The very nature of celebrity culture is one that begs for a closer, more layered introspection. Director Maneesh Sharma of Band Baaja Baaraat fame recognizes this fact well, which is why his latest film, Fan, casts a cynical spotlight on the dark side of obsessive passion and its often tragic repercussions. The underlying concept of the film that of the biggest movie star in this nation playing both the worshipper and the worshipper is one that merits applause for its ingenuity.

Do the privileged few in society pay enough attention to the very same followers who are responsible for shaping their legend? Do we fail to take enough control of our own lives even as we doggedly obsess over the lives of our superstars? Is there, indeed, more to being a fan than meets the eye?
These are some of the themes that the film chooses to explore. Fan sometimes requires a complete suspension of disbelief, especially post intermission. There are a few sequences that are largely contrived in nature- especially the long elaborate chase down the streets of Dubrovnik that left me rolling my eyes in skepticism.

But this is a film that is largely salvaged by Shah Rukh Khan's miraculous performance. Indeed, Chak De India's Kabir Khan has been consigned to the history books - this is the benchmark that his career might just be remembered by. For three decades now, the Pied Piper of Bollywood has made an entire nation sway to the allure of his beats. I count myself amongst the enchanted.

An interesting meta-movie concept that unfortunately falls into a typical thriller template with over-the-top stunts and stretched out action set-pieces. This movie could've been a great character study if the makers hadn't opted for so much of compromise in the screenplay. Starts off well, but by the time the credits roll, the viewer is left impassive.
