Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane Full Movie

Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane Full Movie: This is the civil war, in other words, the point of this series, the series found its birthright: finally started with a bit of disrepair that the reading of the real Marvel Comics will skirt (and let's face it: for DC and) more of a burden than a pleasure. There is no real way to pretend that the film: it is a series of films vast stretches more than eight years, and not. The faithful Comics Internet, this is heaven itself; As for me, I feel a little "tired just thinking about the fact that I will write a variation on the same release of three years and nine films in the future.

On the other hand, it is better to be optimistic or less, which is much less annoying when the individual components of this gigantic subject of many films are so good.

This interesting and tense little thriller sees a decidedly creepy John Goodman playing an unhinged conspiracy theorist who holds a young woman captive in an underground bunker, telling her and another young man that the surface is in the grip of a disaster and they will die if they go outside. The tension in the plot is gradually ramped up as an increasingly desperate Mary Elizabeth Winstead tries to piece together what has happened to her and if her captor is telling the truth. This film can in no way really be counted as a sequel to the original Cloverfield movie which I think is a disappointment as the ending, although fantastical, shares nothing in common with the first monster flick. It stands alone and merely uses the name, which itself, isn't referred to in the movie. This is a bit of a puzzle as I had a clear expectation of what was going on in the outside world and felt a little shortchanged by the plot twist at the end. For me, this meant that an otherwise solid movie ended with an "Oh?" rather than a "Wow!" and is why I can't really score it higher.

This is a very well done horror taking place in the universe of Cloverfield but not relying on it. The movie serves as it's own stand-alone piece while fitting into the narrative of the other film(s). The protagonist is very smart and finds her own ways out of situations all of which are very interestingly executed, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a highlight in the movie. She has a likable personality that you can relate with and the secondary character played by John Gallagher Jr. who is named Emmett. He is the comic relief of the movie and all of his jokes are very relate-able to the average viewer, you'll probably find yourself laughing at his jokes despite the dreary atmosphere set by John Goodman with his character Howard a paranoid kidnapped and self-proclaimed rescuer. While the others are doubtful of the apocalypse he tells them is outside he is adamant he is just trying to save them. This dynamic plays out wonderfully in the movie and this character is easy to pity as a villain which you rarely see in horror movies. Usually, the bad guy is made to seem like a monster with no humanity. This character is more mentally ill and the rest of the character must tiptoe around his particular ticks. This is an excellent watch and highly recommended as a horror.

10 Cloverfield Lane might not be the sequel to Cloverfield we had anticipated, but it stands on its own as something unique. First-time director Dan Trachtenberg has crafted a tense claustrophobic thriller. 10 Cloverfield Lane always keeps us on edge. Mary Elizabeth Winstead gives a great performance, as a strong and clever individual, in a very vulnerable position. John Goodman is nothing sort of terrific. He has a very imposing presence and is able to showcase his range as an actor. He can seem friendly in one scene and subtly off-putting in the next. The movie keeps us second-guessing his true nature, while we are also never quite sure what is taking place outside the bunker. The filmmakers take full advantage of the enclosed location and manage to subvert our expectations time and time again. There is a constant feeling of dread, as well as some nail-biting sequences. There is also some well-placed humor to add levity to the grim setting. Despite a somewhat underwhelming third act, 10 Cloverfield Lane is an excellent thriller, filled with compelling drama, high tension, and paranoia.

After the trailer really disappointed me due to the fact it had literally no connection to the first apart from the name (Sort of) But the rave reviews came in so eventually I watched it and even though it only asks more questions about the Cloverfield Universe it was still an amazing film, Great acting from the cast and that's what the standout thing about this film was, The cast of three make this film way better than it looked on paper, It's very claustrophobic and intense all the way through, We can never guess what's going to happen next, There was no mention of aliens all the way through until the end and we forgot that it was meant to be a Sci-Fi movie and I was abit disappointed that we got something different to the first as we got flying spaceships and weird looking aliens running around, It leaves it open for the Cloverfield films to go in any direction it wants and I hope they give us something that connects the films together before it becomes too difficult to understand.
