The General public is controversial over having the Superman on their planet and letting the dark knight pursue the streets of Gotham. And while this is happening, a power-phobic batman tries to attack Superman, meanwhile, Superman tries to settle on a decision, and Lex Luther, a millionaire, tries to use his own advantages to fighting the man of steel.

I had this conversation twice, but I will give it a chance. In a few moments I have vocally complained about how Lois appeared in the film and pressed hard for the girl in tropical fear, they told me that it was, of course, that's what his character is used traditionally and it was a good display. As the tone and representations of the world and its heroes changed remarkably since Lois could not give more than a tired trope? In 2016, with such an abysmal representation of women in the superhero movie, instead of strong-willed, resourceful, independent, and nothing save more than one object to the hero, why not improve and encourage more of her? There was a time when you think you can save the day, just to give back and make one of the most poorly written decisions throughout the film.

I know this movie was released in 2016, but I still want to discuss a few things. The film has problems, but for me the experience in theaters was perfect. "Martha" was a good idea, but it was not performed in the best way possible. Basically, in my opinion, it was one of the most underrated movies of all time. I understand the criticism, but I could never imagine a 27% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This only shows how the critics have a hatred for the DCEU and Zack Snyder, which is at least sad. The film clearly has script holes, but I got so scared to watch that I can not disregard my feelings in the movie theater. I'm not writing to defend Zack Snyder or, much less, Warner Bros. Studio, responsible for the production and release of the film. I am writing to show my real feeling about the work and my sadness to know that now, years after the release, all the "legacy" to the rest of the DC Universe created in that movie was discarded and will not be used in the future. Now it is to wait and see what will be done with the next films after the failure of the Justice League. I'm curious, but my excitement is not the same after so many mistakes and conflicts in the studio behind the cameras.

Good lord. Where do I start with this? It tries too hard in most spots. Affleck is an awful choice for Batman and Bruce Wayne. And what was that scene with the floating and the bats at the beginning where it almost was an origin story (we DEFINITELY don't need another Batman origin story)? And just an awful execution of Doomsday. I grew up reading the Death of Superman story and in high school read The Dark Knight Returns, which both pull from to make - uh, this. And while I like Eisenberg, he is an awful Lex Luthor. Nothing about this viewing was pleasurable for me and I left the theater looking pained because I was.

Severely underrated, I find it's one of those movies you need to watch multiple times to get a feel for it (although that itself isn't really a good thing). Although Jesse Eisenberg's reinterpretation of Lex Luthor differs radically from any other version of the character and would feel better suited to being The Riddler, I must admit I enjoyed seeing him on screen and at the time felt like one of the highlights (although on subsequent viewings he stands out less). I guess this is a case of just enjoying the character for what it was as opposed to what it should have been (although much of the reason I have scorned other films such as Spider-Man Homecoming is due to the bastardization of the character, although there is a big difference in changing the core ethos of a pop icon that has been in six films and changing the character of a villain, which generally can tend to survive greater changes made to them than heroes can).

Ben Affleck's Batman is easily the biggest highlight of the film, if given a film anywhere near the calibre of Tim Burton's or Christopher Nolan's Batman entries he would most likely be my favourite version of the character. Jeremy Irons is also fantastic as Alfred, the sarcastic version of the character feels fresh but not too big a deviation from tradition. Henry Cavill again offers a decent portrayal of Superman, although nothing special like Affleck's Batman. Wonder Woman is great but doesn't steal the show like many thought she did, she came much more into her own in her solo movie. The plot although not a masterpiece is far better conceived than that years mess which was Captain America: Civil War, and hits much harder too. In conclusion, not the best Batman or Superman film, and not the best DC film, but it still does a competent job and it is interesting to see a more real-world take on how Batman would really react to Superman, even if it isn't done in the best possible way.
