Review of Moana 2016 Full Movie:  E 'fair to say that even if the new year is not even a week old, Disney is a wonderful round date cash. From there only growing prospects Disney launches planned as Zootopia, Jungle, Captain America: Civil war and the search for Dory on the road. So I finally got around to this movie. After my disappointment with Zootopia, I came into this a bit hesitant. Thankfully it proved to be a much, much better movie than Zootopia.

The visuals were breathtaking and chilling, I had goosebumps a whole lot of times during this movie. It was a beautiful mix of great music, beautiful singing (unexpectedly so from The Rock), well written lyrics, and incredible CGI (seriously, the water was so realistic). At certain points I was surprised at myself for getting goosebumps, so I guess the movie was that good.

The story was quite original on the surface, but if you look a bit deeper it's apparent how this is a straight forward hero's journey story. It's still a great improvement over Zootopia's (in my opinion) bland story. Great "lore" and interesting world building.

The characters were written in a pretty satisfying, although predictable way. Some characters like Gramma were overused to the point of erasing any emotional impact they had. The Gramma dies early on, and it's built up to this beautiful scene where she becomes a spiritual manta ray, but then later on Gramma comes back in human form to give Moana a pep talk, and it cheapens the FUCK out of that earlier death/rebirth scene. It was very lazy. In the same vein, Maui's depressed departure and inevitable subsequent return was way too predictable and cheap. I was disappointed they couldn't come up with anything better for the finale of the movie.

OVERALL; The first two acts are surprisingly good, but the third act suffers from some very disappointing writing and structure problems. Yet in the end it still manages to be an exotic, gorgeous, and heart-string-pulling tale. The songs and the visuals are the biggest stars of this movie. Jemaine Clement was amazing.

The movie Moana has its ups and downs, but overall it was a ok movie. Now don't get me wrong the plot was worse than Shrek and the characters can be unintelligent. You might be asking, but why is the plot worse than Shrek. What if I liked Shrek. If you liked Shrek think of any movie that has a plot that is trash. I found a exploit of some sort that could've ended the movie in minutes. Why didn't the magical water just take the Heart of Te Fiti to the actual monster. It would have been so much easier. After that Moana stays safe, the darkness stops growing, and the fish starts coming back. Happy ending, but I will push that idea aside since it's a kids and disney movie and their needs to be plot juice. Moana is a little bit thick headed.

Ok, maybe she did replant coconuts on another side of the island, but their are, so many other things that can be changed. When Moana gets trapped in coral in the beginning when she crosses the reef she tried getting out of the trap, so she can breath, but she's in a shallow pool. Couldn't Moanna stand up take in breaths of air and then break the coral. One thing you can't argue is that every disney movie has one death, but to lighten up the mood they have to put a illusion of them seeing them as a ghost or they meet them in a dream like when she saw her grandma sailing. The only things I liked about Moana is that the songs are catchy and their is no romance because that pops up in probably 90% of disney movies. My final line about this is that this something that you can Moan-a-bout.

Just another disney princess movie ? Wrong. The movie Moana captures so much more than the usual boy saving the damsel and distress girl. This movie shows that one of the most important parts of being human is to have a dream and to follow the dream. In the movie Moana, what is depicted is female empowerment, bravery, sacrifice, confidence and leadership. This movie is sort of a pick me up, it shows that even when life gets tough don't give up because one can accomplish so much greater than one believes. This movie teaches a person to be themselves to follow their dream no matter how wild it can be because you should be "who you were meant to be" as grandma Tala says. A strong role model for girls moana happens to be, as the female lead, Moana is different from most other disney princess movies because she does not need to be saved in fact she is the one saving, she is the hero, and this can teach girls/women that they too can be there own hero.

Moana is and important movie for little girls growing up as it shows little girls that in fact they do not need to be saved by a boy and are capable of saving themselves. In the movie, Moana is a intelligent, strong, encouraging, and brave girl who continues on a hard path of traveling across the sea to restore the heart of Te fiti and save the world. Throughout the movie, Moana saves the chicken Heihei from drounding she saves Maui from tamatoa, she saves Maui from Te fiti, and she saves Maui from his own harsh thoughts of himself, she saves Te fiti and she saves the world the list of accomplishments are not limited to just these as she is a hero. In arguably the most iconic scene in the movie, Moana restores Te fiti's heart this scene will put you on the edge of your seat as it shows all of the beautiful characteristics in this movie that is just under two hours. Moana a movie that is hopeful and comedic and not just another disney princess movie. If one is wondering what it may take a person to want to watch this movie it could be anything as this movie carries a beautiful message, that should be heard.

When we see what places hold when it's story of its creation to what we see now holds great power. When we see what powers that used to protect such places are gone when a greater power took them to another place. When we see what places have to thank those for creating enough to live by we see a peaceful place to live. When what places others used to go, no longer go when such places threaten those who try to go beyond. When what dark places others are scared about we see other places we are not scared to go when it calls to us to go. When what places we rather go are the ones deep within that unlocks the secrets deep within the ocean that call to us when we are chosen to sail it.

When what places others choose for us are higher places when we are to lead places to the future generations to come. When what other places we share with others are the openess to what touches places within inside. When such places are meant to be grown in higher places when there is plenty of place for those to grow & learn. When such places comes problems when not all problems we have answers too, to go beyond the place and discover what we need to see. When such places we try to explore we see we are not in the right place in mind when we have yet to see what such places hold. When the powers of such places will guide us to other places we need to go. When such places holds a place of where our people's traditions once lay when they were voyageurs before they were stopped. When what place tells of future death we see it chooses us to take such places to restore growth back to such places. When we know what places calls for others in death to go.

When we see what places others reach when we meet the person we are meant to meet. When we see what places we have been to are heroic tales that are passed on from generation to generation. When what places show us signs of where to go others misinterprete signs when we are meant to guide them to such places not replace them. When we see that such places we been too we no longer believe when we set sail our past behind us to go to a new place and leave everything behind. When we see that places need our help but want don't have it in us. When what places we unearth deep within we see we unlock such powers that that gives us confidence to take on dark places. When we come from the same place on the surface and deep within, to know we wish for the same places too.

When we see that some places are harder to reach when our power is not enough. When we know how such places were formed to not let such places take away other places of myths & God's that built when there is plenty of place to believe in all things true & untrue. When we see what places need to return to retrieve the heart that was taken to restore such places growth & rebirth once again. When we see such places are hidden in other places that, we are blinded with what we don't see deep within that is missing to know everything can be restored as it was was with the help of those who make place for us amongst them. When we see there are plenty of place for growth as long as we restore the heart in such places deeper we voyage.
