Review of Magic Mike XXL Full Movie

Review of Magic Mike XXL Full Movie: Magic Mike XXL is directed by Gregory Jacobs, and it stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Gabriel Iglesias, Amber Heard, and Jada Pinkett Smith in a dramedy about Mike (Channing Tatum) living his life out of retirement from male stripping, and when he Visit his friends once again and starts dancing to his song, he realizes it?s time for him to have one last ride as a male stripper with his friends. After seeing Magic Mike and how I enjoyed it, I was curious about how the sequel is going to be, and Steven Soderbergh was still involved with this, but only as cinematography and editor. So after seeing this, and while it?s not as good as the first one, I still had a good time watching the sequel.

The acting is really good that they were having a bit more fun than they were in the first one, but that?s only for the fact that this is not quite as serious as Magic Mike, but it still has some serious moments that are needed for this movie. Some of the characters from the first one aren?t in this, and that?s fine for me as I did find Channing Tatum?s character to be more interesting than the main character from the first one, and there was more characterization towards the group, which I was happy to see that and start to care about them going on their last ride and see how they are going got end it with. There?s a scene that was trying to progress a character by doing his thing in a gas convenience store, and it?s my favorite scene as it?s just a random encounter for the clerk to see, and the dance is entertaining to watch that I was laughing so hard that I kept repeating the scene.

The dances still have the sex appeal for the ladies to scream at and give money to, and I was still interested in what?s going on because of the characters, even if there were some moments that felt really long and it dragged out, like when there was a scene where they were showing the other dancers that you never heard of, and you just don?t care about them. The plot does seem to be generic at times, and it sometimes goes to a halt because of a stupid thing that happened. Magic Mike XXL is not the standout film like the first one is, but I like it for what it is and fans of Magic Mike would like this.

Magic Mike XXL sacrifices the character study that made the first film enjoyable for both men and women and instead panders to the Cougars who weren't satisfied with the amount of dancing in the first film. While the dancing was great, the road trip to the stripper convention (which is the main premise of the film) was rather boring.

Character interactions felt insignificant and all the characters were uninteresting, even Mike, whose dream of becoming a custom furniture designer is thrown out the window early on in the movie so that he can go back to stripping. It's pretty inconsistent with his character because his character wants to move on from stripping by the end of the first film, but I'm guessing the target audience for this film couldn't care less.

During this road trip, the stripper crew meets a bunch of women who are just as boring as they are. Jada Pinkett Smith's character was pretty similar to Dallas, but without any charisma, and Amber Heard was a boring love interest for Tatum. Her performance was flat and neither of them has any chemistry. Just like Smith was a bad replacement for McConaughey, Heard was a bad replacement for Cody Horn.

I enjoyed the first movie a lot and I have seen it a couple of time. I could watch the entire movie without getting bored, but I can't say the same for this film. The only scenes that I would rewatch from the sequel are the dance sequences.
