Review of Money Monster Full Movie: Intense and exciting, Money Monster is a controversial and provocative political thriller. The story follows the host of a financial television show who's held hostage on-air by a disgruntled investor who's intent on holding him accountable for his stock tips and demands answers as to why his top pick crashed. The cast is pretty solid; George Clooney and Julia Roberts, in particular, give very strong performances. And, the storytelling does a good job at building tension and at developing the mystery of the stock fall. Additionally, there's some rather clever satire about financial entertainment. Still, the plot is fairly predictable (though there are a few twists on some of the usual tropes). Yet, while it may lack in originality, Money Monster is a surprisingly smart and engaging film.

It begins well with a reasonable amount of tension when the characters and audience know little of what's actually going on but towards the end when all the information is on the table you can't help but wish there had been more depth and social commentary. It doesn't seem to shed light on anything we don't already know leading to the conclusion that this was just meant to be a hostage thriller; and in that light, it's quite dull.
A solid, middle of the road glossy drama with good efforts from the main protagonists. It's all too glib, though to make any lasting impact. Knocking financiers is a way to easy and it could have done with exploring some of the complexities only hinted at in the script to make it a worthy contributor to the debate, an unusual lightening of load given the director and star's credentials in this department. You could only see it going one way, a fact not helped by Netflix using a still shot for its menu that gave the end away. It was all good fun and the action slickly presented.
But the gunman was all too forgivable in you simply couldn't in real life, some dumb loser with a gun and a moral crusade taking on the big, bad rich guys. But he did scarecrow shit out of a lot of people with families and lives. Two moments stick in my mind. The end game with the banker touches on how we only see the corruption when we aren't making a profit, a profundity not explored. But the truest moment arrives when the action ends and the rapt TV audience goes back to life actions usual. It's how it is in the real world and it's how I felt at the end of this movie. Worth a couple of hours of your time, but no more than that.

When our mind moves as fast as money does when some markets move so fast we don't see what it coming & going to know what happens when we see it disappears to care. When we offer to advise in what we see fast in our mind the way the market works to offer it to people. When some advice is either too late or too early to tell when others who have a stake in such investments are fast on the trigger to buy or sell which could mean you end up winning or losing.

When everything moves fast from our show to stock markets, to those fingers on the button, when everything opens and closes for business. When other things couldn't move fast enough when they are hit with an unsuspecting glitch that turns fast easy money into no money. When everyone scrambles fast in the market when any changes happen when no investment is a given when it proves that staking your life on it people change fast their mind. When some answers to what happened can't come fast enough when what transacts through various hands at a time finds it hard to trace a source of responsibility. When no accountability is the fastest way hold no one above another when we are in the same playing field only if you have like-minded people that share the same view that separates us from the rest in what we consider a reliable source of profit. When what inside tip or what we clearly see as a gimic others see past or don't see it coming when running to the markets you need to be fast in and out when profit is at stake.
When we see that we need to act fast in what actions need to be taken when a crisis happens from those who we need to save, those we need to hold accountable, those who threaten to tarnish us later and those who need to know the truth so justice can be done. When what sees us all the time on tv now sees us everywhere on every indicate when we are the headline news that is growing fast in social media and tv of the turn of events. When others are not fast enough in not recognizing whom we are dealing with we see they provide us with the fastest information from within. When others move faster elsewhere when we deal with hackers and programmers who give us the information on our tips.
When what makes something's fast are not recognizing what traffic it follows when algorithms allow the user not to control any aspect. When what others figure out we know we are dealing with those faster when this dealing with the real world and digital world are able to control. When others see opportunity in worlds to exploit they actually fast when controlling one rich world and the impoverished world that is not fast we see how fast money can be transferred within our fingertips to those who provide us the fast dollar. When what others can't control or act fast to stop civil unrest occurs in such parts when money makes production slow or work fast.
When such control in digital markets is fraud to know we can remain hidden as long as those who watch us are not fast enough to spot the human error in algorithms. When those who have no idea of how fast such machines, markets, programs go we see those who are slow remain victims of exploitation, fraud, cheated and left with nothing in a market that takes more then they give back that raises prices for those who can't live a decent living even if they work fast enough.
When what others see fast enough to stop and prevent we make sure that control is not given to those who want a quick unresolved end. When such systems we see are no longer relevant, slow, outdated that don't act fast enough to the vulnerabilities of what people act fast into implementing in their life. When we see that we need to make others see how fast others trick society into seeing reality to uncover their hidden agenda and fraud for everyone to see. When what others see just in time to see, others see it's too late for them to see any other way when seeing such realities in dark world we know we acted fast to make people think and see to judge but not fast enough to come out with the same life we had before. When we don't always see what others want and act out on the world of those responsible, we see we are slow to spot such glitches in what we consider a reliable system that we need to act faster in sporting anomalies in everything unreal. When what we see is a fast system that makes life easier and comfortable to own we don't see how fast it goes to get what it wants that winds up harming us in the long run.
When we see we live in a dark age that we wish to turnover progress too that we see there are those who act fast in turning such moments for profit and opportunity regardless when there is not much penalization for such actions. When people make dark moments seem comical in memes that they need to act fast in creating for profit when everyone is buying into this digital age including a business that doesn't mind losing money when they have plenty. When we see what everybody sees us as a money monster to only act fast enough to be just like those they see on tv.
