Review of Captain Marvel Full Movie

Review of Captain Marvel Full Movie: Carol Danvers has gone through a lot of change in the past few years. Not only has she transitioned from Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel, she’s gone through multiple creative lineup changes in her titles. Kelly Sue DeConnick’s CAPTAIN MARVEL series in 2012 really made Carol a prominent character in the Marvel Universe, helping her ascend to a higher status. She was the character that fought Iron Man arguably Marvel’s current flagship character. This popularity bleeds into THE MIGHTY CAPTAIN MARVEL #1, where Carol finds herself with a plethora of responsibilities.

Writer Margaret Stohl and artist Ramon Rosanas build upon the solid network that has grown in the Captain Marvel titles while setting up plot lines to make it a unique and important series. This issue opens up on a movie set, where Carol and company watch in humorous horror as cringe-worthy dialogue takes place. Carol now has a show based on her life as Captain Marvel, and the finances gained from the show somehow assist Alpha Flight. The first six pages are very enjoyable to me because they deal with Carol in her civilian life. She’s wearing an army green bomber jacket and her hair is looking fabulous. She’s riding in a standard streetcar, and it all really clicks.

Following four years' worth of movies building up for this moment, "The Avengers" is the big crossover that finishes the first phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, by bringing together some of Earth's mightiest heroes. When the Asgardian prince Loki makes a deal with the leader of the Chituari army to subjugate Earth, S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury has to bring together a group of remarkable people to stop this Alien threat.

That includes Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, and Hawkeye all teaming up to save the world, as hard as it might be interacting with each other, due to their different personalities. But this team-up works. The ensemble cast is perfect, especially Robert Downey Jr., which reprises his role as playboy-genius-billionaire Tony Stark. Joss Whedon manages to make everyone in this group of heroes shine. The characters are as complex as it gets, the humor is on point, the action is otherworldly and the most impressive at the time this film came out, the stakes are high and it just delivers on every level, living up to the expectations and the promises its predecessors created in the minds of the fans. All in all, it's pretty much the perfect comic book/superhero movie and the epitome of how all blockbusters should be made, filled with a little bit of everything to make this an unforgettable cinematic experience that will be discussed for decades to come.

Easily the best of the Marvel films so far and raising the bar for all comic book movies. the film lacks the depth that the Batman series has bu this is sheer entertainment with excellent performances from all involved. Few would argue that Marvel hired quite possibly the best person to write and direct the very first team up. Whedon gives every character the moment to shine just like he has done with the tv show Buffy. The film has raised the bar so high that films following will really need to be switched on to match this addition. the inevitable sequel will come and between now and then more characters will be brought to the screen. What will be interesting is how the films of the individual characters lead the way for the next team up. great film and proof with a good director and story these types of film deliver.

I just caught this again and my geek level is still incredibly high for these characters. The odd things that do annoy me are minimal, it is pure popcorn and just a giant cash cow. I do find that Marvel doesn't have the depth DC are attempting, the characters just don't have those deep demons. I like the marvel universe but my heart is with the DC world, I would like the films to have a deeper connection to one another instead of treading water for the next Avengers film. Doctor Strange came close and The Guardians of the galaxy definitely managed to do it, this is still the best film in the Marvel canon, just an incredible action film. I really hate Captain Americas suit so much. 07-09-2017.

Caught this on the lead up to Infinity Wars, still a solid action film but ultimately empty as a whole. The universe is in full swing here and Marvel delivered on the build-up, which means Avengers was an easy sell to the audience. A big action film that sets the future Titan villain up and worth the anticipation.

Strengths: It was always a crazy ambitious plan, but Marvel made the Avengers work in ways nobody could've imagined. Joss Whedon was the perfect person to write and direct this, as he seemed to fully understand what needed to be done. The movie juggles so many vital characters and none ever feel like an afterthought. Robert Downy Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) are as great as they always are. Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk) steps in and provides an upgrade over Edward Norton. Speaking of the Hulk, this was the first movie to truly feel like it understood what the Hulk is supposed to be.

He gets to absolutely wreck stuff. Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow) is honestly kind of a show stealer, while every scene she shares with Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye) is great. It's the kind of thing that was only put into the MCU during this film, yet worked very well. Tom Hiddleston (Loki) is also a great villain choice, as he and the character have the charisma to line up next to his co-stars. The story has just the right amount of dramatic peaks and valleys. The conflict is not only against Loki and his army but among the Avengers themselves. Two of the best scenes involve the members arguing on the ship, as well as fighting in the woods.

As noted, each character is given ample opportunity to strut their stuff, but the film also makes sure to give the fans what they want. Battles between Cap/Iron Man, Thor/Hulk, Thor's hammer and Cap's shield, etc. were all given attention. The writing is sharp, the dialogue is witty, and there are several laugh out loud moments, making it one of the funniest Marvel films ever. Of course, there's also the action, which is tremendous. There are several huge action sequences that are all perfect for this kind of movie. The final battle against the aliens in New York is grand, breathtaking, and features incredible team-ups.

Weaknesses: I'm sure it sounds weird to say, but I couldn't find any. This is the epitome of what the big blockbuster superhero movie should be. Overall: An incredible achievement. They handled so many moving parts with grace and the end result was the greatest superhero movie in history. The action, writing, performances, and way they respected the source material and characters were all done perfectly.
